Pre-Thanksgiving Planning

This weekend is just about finished. It’s Sunday night. I’ve spent the majority of the week watching ALL 4 seasons of Battlestar Galactica.  The new shows will be starting up soon, and I wanted to watch them again before the new shows started.  Yes, that’s a lot of wasted time, but next week will be free for real work.

Website News:

I woke up Thursday with a nasty cold and was up all night with it on Friday. It’s starting to get better now, but it wasn’t much fun.  I did the DB podcast with a stopped-up nose. It sounds acceptable, but it’s not one of my better audio-quality shows.  I had planned on doing another Arcane Tale, but decided against it till my voice clears up.

I noticed this morning that the great “Grand Opening” of the DailyChessLesson.com website has been advertised as being on Monday November 25th. Except Monday is actually the 24th. Sigh.  I think I was looking at one of those “The Week Starts on Monday” calendars.  Ah well, I’ll start them on Monday; I doubt too many folks are really going to be confused by that anyway. I have the first week’s lessons and diagrams all ready for the launch, so that ought to be fun.

For the upcoming week on the Daily Buddhism site, I have already written three Q&A articles dealing with questions readers sent in over the weekend. Those will go on Monday through Wednesday. I plan to take Thursday off for the holiday, and then starting Friday (Black Friday!)  I’m going to do a solid week of reviews, culminating in Weekly Buddhism PDF Magazine #9 being a “Buddhist Buyer’s Guide” (and probably another free issue) for the holidays, containing all my past reviews. There are plenty of good little Buddhists (and big ones too) looking for something in their stocking for Christmas; that sounds a little goofy, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

I haven’t done a darned thing with the Wellness or Vegan sites this week. I haven’t actually announced them or anything, so ignoring them isn’t going to hurt anything, but I really ought to do some writing for them this week.
